Methyl Methacrylate
Methyl Methacrylate is colorless transparent liquid, soluble in various organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, slightly soluble in ethylene glycol and water.
Application
Methyl methacrylate is mainly used in the fields of polymerization and copolymerization. Preparation of plexiglass, used for artificial decoration materials, construction industry parts, optical information materials and packaging of electrical components, etc.
Coatings, paints, adhesives, water repellents, additives for adjusting the viscosity of lubricating oil, etc. can be prepared by emulsion polymerization.
Methyl methacrylate can replace styrene as cross-linking agent, dilute unsaturated polyester resin, and do natural and synthetic rubber modifier.
